Protruding ears

Akademikliniken has for many years treated patients wanting to alter the shape of their ears. This usually means adjusting protruding ears, but there may also be reasons for correcting other parts of the ear, for example protruding ear lobes or an unusually high middle part of the ear.

The surgical adjustment of protruding ears is the most common plastic surgery intervention performed on children, and Akademikliniken often conducts this type of surgery on behalf of the county council. An appropriate time for having the surgery is before the child starts primary school.
