Snoring

Snoring is an often underestimated problem that needs to be taken seriously. Snoring can often lead to so called sleep apnoea, which entails short pauses when breathing during sleep and the risk of serious illness as a consequence. People with severe sleep apnoea often sleep badly, which in turn may lead to constant tiredness.

Treatment consists of fashioning a splint to be worn at night. This splint forces the lower jaw forward, which in turn prevents the tongue from falling backwards into the mouth. Serious snoring problems should be investigated by a doctor.
