The Surgical Procedure

Akademikliniken has many years of experience in facial surgery. The consultation is important for all surgical procedures. Here, our surgeons discuss your expectations; find out about your general state of health and help you find a treatment which is right for you. Usually a computer simulation is done, to make sure that the patient and the surgeon share the same vision of the treatment. The procedure is thoroughly described, and you will be given advice on how to prepare for the operation and how to ease the healing process after surgery.

Many of our surgical procedures allow you to return home the same day, but some require you to stay in our patient rooms overnight while being looked after by our staff. Specially trained nurses are at hand, as well as a doctor on call.

When you return home after a procedure, you will always be given a card with information about your next visit, the phone numbers of the clinic and of the surgeon involved, so that you can contact us both day and night.
